The Nokia Asha 300 was released in November 2011 and came out with a slide screen which was popular at that time. This phone was followed up the following year by the Nokia Asha 201. The Asha 300 had a number of advantages and short comings compared to the Asha 201. The Asha 300 had a larger internal memory and a much better camera.
Nokia Asha 300
The Nokia Asha 300 came with 5 Mega Pixel camera which is today still used on the high end phones as a secondary camera. It also had better frame rates coming in at 15fps which for its day was not bad considering it was running at 2592х1944 pixels. The camera had no auto-focus and only came with fixed focus which did not always give you the best pictures around.
The Asha 300 was where one could say things became better and the high-end market was being established. It came with a 1 GHz processor and a proximity sensor. The battery lasted long enough and it came with 2G and 3G with EDGE which was not half bad even today. If you are in the second hand market and looking at buying a Nokia Asha 300 then you can rest assured that the camera specs is still good by today’s bottom end entrants.
