You can also connect your mobile phone to your computer via a USB cable and using the Samsung USB driver to achieve this. You can find the driver listed on another website. The phone was released in June 2015 and has had good sales since then considering Samsung also released the Samsung S6 Edge in the same year. The Samsung Galaxy J5 looks like the Iphone design and is very handy in the pocket at that size being 142.1 x 71.8 x 7.9 mm (5.59 x 2.83 x 0.31 in). It is also very light at 146 g. There is also a single micro-sim as well as a dual micro-sim option with this range of phones. Ask about this before you purchase the phone online or in the store.

The Galaxy J5 comes with a Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors. The screen is large coming in at 5.0 inches and the screen to body ratio is ~67.5% much like the Samsung Galaxy V Plus also on this website. They look very similar so you can look at that mobile phone specs as well. The screen resolution is good at 720 x 1280 pixels with ~294 ppi pixel density. This is pretty good and gives a good picture considering the price of the phone. If you wish to have a 1440 x 2560 pixels screen then you will be looking for a phone 3 times the price of this one.
The operating system is Android OS, v5.1 (Lollipop) which is upgradable to v6.0.1 (Marshmallow). The phone is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 chipset with a Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 processor. The GPU is a Adreno 306 and you can read more about the GPU processor on this website as well. The memory is large being an internal memory of 8/16 GB, 1.5 GB RAM. The storage on the phone is rather small considering the large camera it gets. For this reason there is a microSD, up to 256 GB on a dedicated slot.
Samsung Galaxy J5The phone has an LED flash with a 13 MP camera with autofocus and geo-tagging, touch focus as well as face detection. The internal memory can run full quickly with the 13 Megapixel camera and high definition video camera. The front or primary camera is a 13MP while the rear camera is also very good at 5 MP with a 23mm which is only slightly smaller than the primary camera and this too has an LED flash.
Much like any other mobile phone on the market, there are also the standard features such as Vibration; MP3 as well as WAV ringtones. There is also a loudspeaker as well as a 3.5mm jack. Mobile connectivity is also good with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct as well as hotspot. The Bluetooth on the mobile phone is v4.1 with A2DP. GPS is also standard but it will depend on where you buy the mobile phone as it is market dependent. There is A-GPS and/or GLONASS/ BDS depending on your location and this also applies to the NFC functionality. The Samsung Galaxy J5 also has an FM radio, RDS as well as a recording option.
There is also a USB port to connect to your computer in the form of a microUSB v2.0 port. You will need to download the USB driver for your computer to connect the Samsung to your computer. The phone comes with only two sensors being an accelerometer and also a proximity sensor. Messeging is pretty standard for a mid range phone having SMS (threaded view), MMS, Email, Push Mail as well as an IM. There is also an HTML5 browser. There is no Java on the phone.
With a removable Li-Ion 2600 mAh battery and the specs of the phone you can get about 18 hours of talk time. Overall its a good phone considering the specs as well as the price of the mobile phone. It also feels good in the hand (a bit ‘boxy’ as the edges are not round) and much like all Samsung phones this phone also has a every good camera. It is more than adequate for most business people.
