Screen
Note that there is also EDGE as well as GPRS. Note that the phone was released in 2015 so the hardware is very good and will have a good mix of GPU and CPU being that it is less than 3 years old. The Samsung Edge was about the same size of other Samsung phones as well as the Lumia range of mobile phones at 142 x 70.1 x 7.1 mm with a weight of only 132 g.
The screen is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 back panel as well as being a large screen at 5.1 inches (~72.0% screen-to-body ratio). The screen is very good as it is a super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors and it has a very high screen resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels with a very high ~576 ppi pixel density.
The clarity of video and text on this phone is excellent. What makes the phone look really good is its curved edge screen and this is a buying point for many. Much like other phones the screen is a multitouch screen. The Nano-SIM on the phone comes with Samsung Pay (Visa, MasterCard certified), TouchWiz UI and as stated above it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Additionally compare this to the Samsung Galaxy S5.
Hardware
The phone is powered by a Octa-core (4×2.1 GHz Cortex-A57 & 4×1.5 GHz Cortex-A53) on a Exynos 7420 Octa chipset using a top of the line Mali-T760 MP8 GPU processor. The memory ont he phone is very large as well as its storage space at 32/64/128 GB with 3 GB RAM. See also the MSM7230 – Snapdragon S2.
This is large enough for there not to be an expansion slot. Even with a 16 MP camera it will take a while to fill the space on this phone. You will need to check the space on your phone before you buy it as there could be 32GB, 64GB or 128 GB of space, so do check this before you buy it.

Likewise compare this to the Samsung Galaxy J5 as well.
Much like other phones in this category it also features geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, Auto HDR as well as panorama. The High Definition Recording is also very good and it can record on both cameras with dual video recording. The video on the phone is also excellent at 2160p@30fps, 1080p@60fps as well as 720p@120fps. The secondary camera is a capable 2mm, 5 MP camera with dual video call and able to play and record video at 1440p@30fps.
